Plus que quelques jours avant de rejoindre la troupe d’Hänsel und Gretel… Je me réjouis de retrouver mes collègues Magali Paliès (mon petit frère Hänsel), Matthieu Lécroart (notre père), Jeanne Marie Lévy (notre mère et… la sorcière!) et Ainhoa Rubira Zuazua, qui chante la fée et le marchand de sable.
Sans oublier nos chefs de chant Philippe Marty et Olivier Besnard, et le metteur en scène Johanny Bert. Sans oublier non plus les marionnettistes… bref, toute une belle équipe! Et surtout la magnifique musique d’Engelbert Humperdinck.
Je profite d’une méchante angine pour reposer ma voix et réviser à fond les quelques passages de texte en allemand qui me posent encore problème pour la mémoriastion… ils faut dire que nous sommes plutôts bavards, comme frère et sœur. A très vite!
Just a couple more days before rejoining the whole troop for Hänsel und Gretel… I’m so much looking forward to singing with my wonderful partners Magali Paliès (my little brother Hänsel), Mathieu Lécroart (our father), Jeanne Marie Lévy (our mother… and the wicked witch!), and Ainhoa Rubira Zuazua, who is singing Sand- und Traummännchen.
Of course I’m not forgetting our vocal coaches Philippe Marty et Olivier Besnard, our stage director Johanny Bert… and all the puppetmasters! Not to mention the technicians and costume designers…
But most of all, I’m so happy to be singing the wonderful music of Engelbert Humperdinck.
I’ve been resting my voice for a few days due to a bad cold, which enables me to go in my head relentlessly over the few lines in German that I still have to memorize… We are a couple of chatty siblings!
